We are delighted to announce that we now have two new Clothes Banks! One is situated in the rear of the car park at Keanes Service Station in Caherlistrane and the other is located at the community centre in Glencorrib. Spread the news!
The Clothes Banks are suitable for recycling all your old clothing, shoes ,curtains, towels, sheets and blankets, but remember, we can’t accept pillows, quilts or duvets.
Also please don’t put in any rubbish, metal, glass, paper, carpets, rugs or soiled rags.
We also ask that you don’t leave any items on the ground beside the Clothes Banks in the event that the banks are full. The banks are emptied once a week, so come back at a later date. All items left on the ground are treated by the local authority as litter, and put us at risk of prosecution.
Our thanks to all the crew in Keanes in Caherlistrane and Ger Murphy in Glencorrib for facilitating us to place a Clothes Bank on their premises.
Remember Solas also has Clothes Banks beside The Trading Post, In Joyces Supermarket Car Park, and in Duffy’s Yard on the Main Street.
Monies raised enable Solas to offer help and assistance to those in our communities who need it most.
